interactions

Sometimes, when I’m working on a project and it feels mostly done, I’ll ask my husband to take a look at it. He knows to ask me if I want his opinion or feedback, because sometimes I say no. Even without feedback, the experience of having my work be seen gives me guidance. It shapes my work.

When breadcrumbs from our internal world interact with the outside world, it gives new context and new life. It offers a new perspective to ourselves and our place in community.

What you carry internally (consciously and unconsciously) may be reflected back to you simply by being in the presence of others.

This interaction is possible when we practice together. What unfolds when we create a space to simultaneously have our personal experiences while sharing a room and a focus? Our self consciousness and consciousness of others may waver in and out. Our inner world spills outside of ourselves, the outer world enters in. Like the breath, in and out. The intersections of our experiences provide the conditions for something new to arise. These moments can alter how we might usually define ourselves and provide new opportunities for insights and healing.

On Friday, February 16, from 7-8:30pm you are invited to share an experience with me: Fascial Re-Tuning and Breath. We will gather in person, at Yoga Soup, the studio that nurtured my teaching and holds my heart, where much of my own development continues to unfold. For the first half, I will guide you through a fascial re-tuning movement practice. Using active stretch techniques and mindful movement, we'll dissolve tension, release restrictions, and awaken the body's innate wisdom. This practice invites you to tune in and restore balance within your fascial system, gently untangling the stories held within your fascia, and preparing your body and mind for a journey into breathwork.

In the second part of our evening, we turn our attention to the breath, a gateway to profound states and personal insights. My dear friend and teacher, Chantal Peterson will guide you through the principles of embodied breathwork, accessing the wisdom of our breath to release stagnant energy, emotional blocks, and stress. Through conscious breathwork, we'll unlock the potential for healing, clarity, and inner peace.

I look forward to seeing you at this tender and nourishing community event.
